About KASEZ

Kandla Special Economic Zone (KASEZ) is Asia’s first and India’s largest Export Processing Zone (earlier), established in 1965 in Kutch District of Gujarat, near Deendayal Port (earlier Kandla Port). It was later upgraded to a Special Economic Zone in November, 2000.

KASEZ was set up primarily to promote exports, attract Foreign Investment, generate employment, and support the growth of Kandla Port. It spans approximately 1000 acres, making it the largest multiproduct SEZ in India with over 300 operational units.
